Er war mal Werbetexter, dann flog er übers Kuckucksnest. Jetzt rennt er mit dem Kopf gegen die Wand und erklärt seinen Austritt aus dieser Scheißklinik, vergebens. Allein unter Irren? Einmal Psycho, immer Psycho? Der Alltag heißt Anpassen, Pillen schlucken, TV ohne Ton gucken. Der Ausbruch ist zum Scheitern verurteilt mit dem Wahn als Begleiter. Und welche Chance hat die Liebe im Patientenkittel? „Dürä“ ist Schwizerdütsch und bedeutet „verpeilt.“ Ein schwindelerregender Film über die Frage: wer bin ich?

He used to write advertising copy, but then he flew over the cuckoo’s nest. And now he bangs his head against the wall and says he wants to leave this bloody clinic – all for naught. All alone apart from other mad people? Once insane, always insane? Day-to-day life consists of adapting, taking pills, watching TV with the sound turned down. Any breakout is doomed to fail when you’ve got madness for company. And what chance does love have when you’re wearing an inmate’s garb? Dürä is a Swiss German word for “nuts”. This dizzying film asks the question “Who am I?”
